Sheriff Denny Hendrix told me that when he first took office Leslie Case Abernathy came to his office on a Sunday wearing the shortest women's shorts he had ever seen. He said that Leslie smelled like a French whore and did her best to seduce him. He was also married at that time and repulsed her advances. Newly sworn in Sheriff Hendrix stated; "I couldn't believe she'd be interested in me, but what other reason would she have in coming to my office on a Sunday dressed and smelling like a whore?"
I told him that by reputation she attempted to do that to many new public officials. Even our newest coroner called me begging that I not report that gossip was connecting Leslie and him. I never saw any evidence that any connection existed.
It is Leslie's evil method of operation to seduce public officials while using that to have something over these men. This has happened many times as per men and wives of this community. Many local lawyers and cops did have sex with Leslie and some did not but were accused of it anyway. I truly believe that the ones who did not give in were ultimately added to Leslie's "KNIFE FILE" OR "HIT LIST". Remember, Leslie's own step-dad threw her out of his home because Leslie couldn't manage to adhere to the basic standards of decency.
