TERRY SMITH: Snowball's chance in desert BOE investigates

Post by Nydia Tisdale » February 11th, 2011, 9:30 pm

Civil Service Board Vice Chairman Terry Smith on the Board of Ethics

TERRY SMITH: And, uh, the Ethics Board could have done and ruled a lot of different ways. I think that we had solid ground on sending it to them. They were the only authority that we had to send it to. But I think history has proven that the Ethics Board in their eleven years of existence, uh, has tried to find ways not to have hearings rather than to have hearings. And, I think that although Mr. Miles is absolutely correct — we could ask them to investigate. I don’t think there’s a snowball’s chance in the desert that they would undertake an investigation. So, that’s my opinion.
