Congratulations to the 2016 inductees to the Atlanta Press Club’s Hall of Fame

Georgia Humanities, in association with the Pulitzer Prizes Centennial Campfires Initiative and the UGA Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications, is proud to partner with the Atlanta Press Club to honor the vital work of Georgia journalists.

Look for LOOK FORWARD, a digital exhibition on civil rights and the Pulitzer Prize in Georgia, coming in early 2017

Georgia Humanities is a nonprofit organization that gathers, preserves, and shares our state’s distinctive stories through a range of cultural and educational programs and resources.

The Pulitzer Prizes Centennial Campfires Initiative, a joint venture of the Pulitzer Prizes Board and the Federation of State Humanities Councils, seeks to illuminate the impact of journalism and the humanities on American life today, to imagine their future, and to inspire new generations to consider the values represented by the body of Pulitzer Prize-winning work. For their generous support for the Campfires Initiative, we thank the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Ford Foundation, Carnegie Corporation of New York, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Pulitzer Prizes Board, and Columbia University.

The mission of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication is to prepare students to be effective users and practitioners of the mass media, to provide the mass media with more and better services for their consumers, and to assist the public in using the mass media to meet personal and community needs.
