Summary of Buckhead Freedom Coalition meeting 2-2-17:

On Thursday, February 2nd from 6:00pm-7:30pm at the Buckhead Library the presentation on “Reflections from the Trump Inauguration and Predictions for the First 90 Days” was very worthwhile and fruitful. There were about twenty people in attendance, and they had good questions and keen attention for the panelists.

Local political pundit and radio host Mr. Greg Williams recounted his own transformation from a critic and skeptic of then candidate-for-President Mr. Donald Trump into a staunch supporter of now President Trump after witnessing his metamorphosis from a blunt political novice into an adaptive innovative political game changer. And Mr. Williams predicts that it will prove unwise for Mr. Trump’s political opponents to waste their political capital on purely obstructionist efforts like rejecting for example Supreme Court nominees with impeccable character and solid mainstream conservative records like Judge Neil Gersuch.

Secondly, Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist Mr. Kyle Wingfield recalled how many doubted that Mr. Trump would be conservative enough, but that his actions thus far have served to quell concerns. In fact Mr. Wingfield points out that President Trump has been quite masterful in governing from the middle.

Finally, Georgia State Senator Mr. Michael Williams, who was the first Georgia politician to endorse publicly Mr. Trump for President, reminded us of how much President Trump has been a promise keeper by backing up his campaign pledges with corresponding executive orders. And Senator Williams predicts that Mr. Trump will continue to advance his agenda of making America safer, stronger, and more prosperous by leading the way on Twitter and other social media instead of waiting on Congress to step up.

Afterward some attendees went over to the Fado Irish Pub & Restaurant next door for good food, good conversation, and good fellowship. The BFC and friends hope to see new and familiar faces at future events. And everyone is cordially invited to gather to watch Super Bowl LI (51) at the Lindbergh Chili’s on this coming Super Bowl Sunday February 5th from 6:00pm-9:30pm or until the bitter end. RSVP at BuckheadFreedomCoalition@gmail.com or text 404-422-0675.
