Good evening, everyone. Good afternoon, everyone. I'm Andre Pollard and I am running for Congress. I am a technologist and I am part of what you would consider the resist movement. I'm one of the people that, you know, was watching TV and I couldn't watch anymore and I had to get up off the couch.
Uh, when the Muslim ban uh got, first got enacted and it took Google, Facebook, Amazon and a hundred-plus companies to come out against the Muslim ban, and our Congress, our Representatives in Washington — quiet, not a peep. I knew that we, the technologists, do not have the proper representation in Congress and that's why I have been very blessed in my life, decide to get up and do something about it.
I am an immigrant. I came to this country when I was ten years old. I married to a Latino, so half my household is Spanish speaking.
I run the Alpharetta Ventures and Incubators Meetup Group. Um, I run the Alpharetta Rails Coders with free website development classes on Saturdays. You'll be surprised at all the people that show up at that — old, young, everyone. I started the Alpharetta Ionic II Mobile Development. Again, I'm pushing technology and I have lot of technology solutions. I've been doing this for over four years so when you hear candidates talking about Silicon Valley of the South, I've already been doing that for four years.
I'm a father of four, um, two teenagers, a four-year-old and a one-year-old, and basically I am you. I am representing all of you. Thank you.
Hi, I'm Andre Pollard and I'm running as an Independent for Congress. I am a technologist. I am part of the resist movement. I got up off my sofa and, uh, feeling of hopelessness, I decided I'm gonna, you know, run for Congress and I hope my run is inspirational to others that anyone can run for Congress.
I'm a father of four kids. I'm an immigrant. I immigrated here when I was eleven years old. My wife is Latino from Dominican Republic. I am all of you.
Uh, I run the Alpharetta Ventures & Incubators Meetup Group which meets in the Alpharetta Technology Center and we have a startup coming out called Work(?).com.
I'm a mechanical engineer. I work for a large telecom company and my main goal is to get more women in technology, more legacy force in technology. promote the American brand, defend the American brand from anyone, promote startups and startup businesses and develop those future skills for a technology, uh, future. Thank you.
