The nonprofit Georgia First Amendment Foundation and the KSU chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists invite you to a session on how to use Georgia’s open meetings and open records laws to learn what’s happening inside your government at the state and local level.

Veteran journalists Ken Foskett of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Jim Zachary of the Valdosta Daily Times will explain how to:

• Access public records for information on government operations at all levels
• Attend public meetings where officials make decisions that affect citizens
• Challenge public officials who don’t comply with open government laws

The Georgia First Amendment Foundation is a membership-based nonprofit 501(c) (3) dedicated to preserving and expanding citizens’ rights to open, transparent government and free speech. Learn more at gfaf.org, find us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @Ga_FAF.

The Society of Professional Journalists is one of the oldest journalism organizations in the United States. Find out more about the Kennesaw State University campus chapter of SPJ by visiting https://www.facebook.com/KennesawStateSpj.
